About Me

Hey everyone!

 

My name is Katherine and I'm a 21-year-old student at Western University in London, Ontario. I'm an avid food lover, and I love creating healthy recipes that don't make me feel deprived - that's my key to a healthy lifestyle!

 

My love of healthy cooking started when I finally decided to make changes in my life towards a healthy lifestyle. In highschool I slowly began working out at my school’s gym, and reducing the amount of chocolate chip cookies I purchased at school.

 

After a while, I began to see changes that I was proud of. It’s these small changes that encouraged me to work harder. My mother and I got a gym membership at

LA Fitness, and I began working out several days a week. First with a trainer, and when I gained more confidence, I worked out on my own.

After a while, the food I started eating became repetitive and boring. Eating broccoli and chicken every day isn’t too exciting. I knew I needed to find ways to make my food more exciting, while still remaining nutritious and guilt-free.

I began experimenting with recipes I could find online and in the Instagram community. The first account I followed was Tasty Health, and I can honestly say that without her recipes as a source for inspiration I probably wouldn’t have been inspired to begin creating my own as well!

 

When I first began creating my own recipes they were for my friends and myself. After posting them on Instagram, more and more people told me they loved my recipes. The positive encouragement made me want to keep creating new and exciting recipes! It was when a friend told me how much she loves my recipes, however, that I really felt the most motivation to keep cooking. Her message said that my recipes were a source of inspiration for her and helped her to overcome her eating disorder. The fact that my recipes were able to help someone else in a positive way is one of the most rewarding feelings I have ever felt. From that day on I’ve poured my heart and soul into these recipes and hope that others can continue to be inspired as well.

 

My recipes are all very easy to follow and feature a step-by-step guide to creating each one. I hope that my recipes can be a source of inspiration for you, and that my website can motivate you to live a healthy lifestyle. As previously mentioned, I love when people reach out and let me know when they like my recipes, but I also love criticism as well! If you’ve had any problems or dislikes with one of my recipes, please let me know, as I’d love to improve them.
